It will help you find the answers you need to start exercising and get the results you deserve.

If you’re anything like a lot of our guys you’ll know the fear of starting to get back into shape.

The gym is the obvious starting point, but you may feel like you’ll stand out like a sore thumb. Everyone else seems to know exactly what each piece of equipment does and how to use it.

Even if you’re confident, it can feel like everyone is watching you. Fortunately, if they are you can just tell yourself they’re admiring your form!

This is where the real problem is; everyone will tell you something a little different about how you should be using a machine or which exercises you should be doing.

Personally at the Fit Father Project we like to buck the trend.

You don’t need to spend hours in the gym to get your body in great shape. You can complete our 24-minute workout and see amazing results in virtually no time!

This guide will give you everything you need to know to start and stick to the right workout routines for beginners.

Factors Of Good Workout Routines For Beginners

Adopting the right workout routine will help you to establish a habit which can become a long term solution to your fitness issue.

It doesn’t matter what your reason is for starting to workout; when you find the right workout routines for beginners you will want to continue for life.

Tip 1 – Complete a short but effective workout.

Timely:

workout routines for beginnersLet’s face it… you’re busy. You probably barely have time to catch your breath between working hard all day and sorting the children out.

Sometimes you just wish for five minutes peace when you get in the door.

But, you know that’s not going to happen and you wouldn’t really want it.

Starting a good workout routine means finding the time to exercise and that probably involves giving up half an hour of your television time.

You won’t regret it; very soon you’ll be wondering why you used to fuss about watching television when you could be living!

Thirty minutes is more than enough time to try our 24-minute workout and start seeing results.

Tip 2 – Try different routines until you find one you actually enjoy.

Easy To Do:

When you are completing a workout in less than thirty minutes you need to be able to understand the routine. If you spend 20 minutes working out what you are supposed to do you will double your time without doubling your gain.

Find a routine; like our 24-minute fat burner workout which you can follow easily.

Enjoyable:

The secret to starting and sticking to workout routines for beginners is finding something that you enjoy doing.

If you enjoy it you will continue to find the time to do it. Then it will become a habit and something you can’t imagine not doing.

Tip 3 – When you start, focus on form first.

Safe:

If you are just starting to workout again then one of the biggest issues is injuries.

You should fully warm up and complete dynamic stretches before you start exercising and cool down fully and perform static stretches when you finish.

This will help you to prevent getting injured.

But, you also need to focus on your form. Our workout guides you through every step of the process and shows you how to complete each exercise safely.

Tip 4 – Measure your waist for weight loss or muscles for lean muscle building and monitor them every week.

Provide Results:

Perhaps most importantly you want to see results.

No matter what workout routines for beginners you choose you’ll want to see your weight decreasing or your muscles growing.

If this doesn’t happen, you need to try a different routine; the Fit Father Project has several options, all you need to do is join the FF30X program to access advice and discover what we have to offer.

Tip 5 – Focus on compound movements, like the Barbell Squat.

Compound Movements:

workout routines for beginnersYou need to complete compound movements; these will work several muscles at once and provide the maximum possible gains.

This will increase your lifting power, burn more calories and accelerate your metabolic rate while building core strength.

Isolated exercises will not have the same effect.

Examples of compound movements include squats, bench presses, pull-ups, shoulder press and the deadlift.

Bonus Tip – Follow through every rep; the lowering part of a weight exercise is just as important as the lifting part.

The Advantages of Building Lean Muscle

One question that is often asked when people are attempting to lose weight is why focus on building lean muscle? The answer is actually very simple.

Muscle burns more calories per pound than fat. In fact, muscle can burn 5 times as many calories as fat! The more muscle you have the faster you will burn your excess fat off.

Despite what you may have heard, fat cannot be converted to muscle or vice-versa, but building muscle can help to reduce your fat levels.

But, you should aim to eat approximately 25% fat, 35% protein and 40% carbohydrates.

Remember…”You can’t out exercise a bad diet.”

In fact, you should sort your diet before you even start your workout routines for beginners.
