profound changes

Making profound changes starts with making internal shifts to your mindset, emotions, how you operate as a partner or parent, in the way you work, and in any other aspect of your life.

Fit Father Nick is a 44-year-old father and husband who found himself feeling tired, fatigued, and just generally miserable.

He was stuck in a rut, and he felt like he created a monster — he would wake up every morning and say, ‘this is it; this is the rest of my life.’

He didn’t think he could ever feel good about himself again.

Then, he was diagnosed with gout, and it got to the point where he couldn't walk because of it.

Enough was finally enough, and it was time for a change.

So he started from within, made some internal shifts, and began his health and fitness journey.

And profound changes followed!

Listen to Nick's Story on the Fit Father Project Podcast:

Struggling and Feeling Helpless

Nick never felt he was unhealthy, but he did know he wasn't making the best choices.

“I spent most of my life going to the bar, having drinks, and eating bad food. I didn't realize how alcohol affected my food choices.”

Before he knew it, he was tired, feeling bad, and just generally out of shape.

“I was considerably overweight. I felt miserable, taking naps every day, and I was always fatigued. My joints were achy.”

Then, more negative health news followed.

“I got diagnosed with gout. I was at a point where I couldn't walk because of it. It was a very severe onset of gout.”

At that point, Nick started looking within.

He didn't like what he had become, and he didn't think there was any way out.

“I looked at myself and realized that I'd created this monster with the way I was living my life. It was the reason I was looking and feeling the way I was. I would wake up every morning and say to myself this is the rest of my life. This is how I'm going to feel until I die. I thought I was going to wake up without wanting to get out of bed and not feel good about myself.”

Nick simply couldn't like that, so he started looking for answers.

That's when he found the Fit Father Project.

See how Nick made profound changes — and lost over 40 pounds!

Making Profound Changes

Nick was immediately drawn in by the Fit Father Project, and he felt like he finally found a program that would work for him.

It wasn't just another ‘diet' or quick fix; it was a real lifestyle change.

“I watched Dr. Anthony's videos, and he said things that nobody else had said.”

So, he dove into the program, and as he wrote his mission statement, he found his true motivation.

“The rest of my life, I want a good life with my wife and daughter. I want to be an example to them. I want to be free of disease. I don't want diabetes and other underlying diseases. I want to enjoy the time, travel, and see my daughter grow up. I want to be a grandfather.”

He soon realized he had the power within to make changes.

“Stop being in denial. Stop making every excuse in the book. The way that you live your life is the result of what you were given. Everything is based on the effort that you're willing to put in. The rewards will undeniably follow, 100%. The best thing you could ask for is to feel better in life.”

The Fit Father Project proved to be a life-changing experience for Nick.

“I've lost 41 pounds. I've really been pushing hard mentally. It's 100% better than looking at everything pessimistically and negatively. Everything is positive for me now. I feel good and a lot stronger. Work-wise, I've got renewed vigor instead of being stagnant.”

So what would Nick say to someone looking to join the Fit Father Project?

“If you can't wake up and feel good, how does the rest of your life go? It's the building block of everything. Be honest with yourself about what you want to focus on and how you want your life to be; it's obtainable. If you plug into the system, simply follow it. Nutrition is 80% of what you need to be fit. All you got to do is stop eating the wrong foods and eat them at the right times. So when you put out an excuse, know that you're in denial. Everything is achievable. It's not that difficult. You just have to put in the work.”

3 Key Takeaways From Nick's Journey

To summarize, here are three key lessons you can learn from Nick’s successful health and fitness journey:

Lesson 1: You Are a Product of Your Habits

Your habits — good and bad — make you the person you are today.

If you have poor food habits, are sedentary, or indulge in too many negative vices, you're likely to be overweight, have health issues, and struggle with a lack of energy.

It will also impact how you feel about yourself or the world around you.

But if you eat right, get proper exercise, and live life generally cleanly, you will have good health and fitness.

You'll look good, feel good, and live well!

Lesson 2: You Have to Put in the Work

You have to take charge of your life to make it better.

Stop making excuses and embrace life.

Own it!

Life will always throw you curveballs; setbacks and hurdles will happen.

How you overcome those hurdles defines you.

Put in the work, keep pushing, and never give up!

Lesson 3: Develop the Right Mindset

If you have the right mindset and determination to achieve your goals, success will follow.

Mind comes before the body.

The right mindset is about being kind to yourself and allowing yourself some mistakes.

Nobody’s perfect, but you can strive for close to perfection with the right mindset!
